Ingredients:
1 batch of Italian Sausage Cutlets, sliced2 large green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 large onion, coarse chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon thyme
crushed red pepper (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)
4 cups of cooked rice, pasta or other whole grain
Directions:
- In a large pan, heat the oil over medium-low heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes or until they are soft.
- Add the all the remaining ingredients, except for the grain or pasta, and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for about 40 minutes.
- Serve hot over rice, pasta or some other grain.
